“Downton Abbey” star Lesley Nicol... who plays the beloved Mrs. Patmore on the TV show and three successful films... shares her journey through life and show biz in a warm and funny musical she and hit pop songwriter Mark Mueller created together.

Through masterful storytelling and 9 often hilarious and moving original songs written with Mark, the audience learns about Lesley's trip to the Abbey. It starts with a quiet childhood outside Manchester, England, followed by her first West End part in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” leading to co-starring roles in stage hits like the original London production of “Mamma Mia.” It culminates with her worldwide TV and film successes on the SAG-Award winning drama smash, “Downton Abbey.”

 

Lesley and Mark, who accompanies her on piano on stage, cover the highs and lows of her show biz career, including all the bumps along the way. The songs are funny, poignant, honest and occasionally outrageous… just like Lesley’s life.

 

The show is not just about Lesley’s life… it’s about everyone’s. We’re all trying to make sense of where we are these days. Mark and Lesley's successful Off-Broadway run in NYC led to an Off-Broadway Alliance Award nomination. They have also performed the musical in Chicago, London and Hong Kong and look forward to doing more shows soon.
