I'm a songwriter who's written a few hundred pop, rock and R&B songs in my career, including some that you've heard on the radio... #1 hits like "Crush" by Jennifer Paige and "That's What Love Is For" by Amy Grant... plus Top 10 hits like "Nothin' At All" by Heart.

I also wrote the theme songs (both words & music) for two popular Disney animated TV shows, "DuckTales" (the original and the 2017 re-boot), and "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers." DuckTales is currently airing in 162 countries in 34 languages, which is amazing to me. I love hearing my song sung so many different languages... that is something I could never have conceived when I wrote it. I also enjoy going on YouTube and checking out the hundreds of performances done by the show's fans. I genuinely appreciate their creativity and the fondness audiences have for the song (and show). Whenever I've had the chance to travel around the world and someone finds out I wrote the "DuckTales" theme, I get to hear the most incredible stories about people's childhoods and their happy, joyful memories of that song. I feel very lucky that a song I wrote has had such a positive impact on so many people's lives.

Beyond writing pop songs for radio, I've written original musicals for stage, film and TV. I'm now working on a new stage musical with my good friend, actress Lesley Nicol, who starred as the memorable Mrs. Patmore on the international hit TV show "Downton Abbey" for six years... as well as the 2019 worldwide #1 box office hit, the "Downton Abbey" movie. We've already performed our show live in London and Hong Kong and it's been a blast.

I currently live in LA and love Southern California, but grew up north in the Bay Area (in the pic above, I'm taking a ride from Tiburon to San Francisco). I wrote my first musical there at the age of 10 for my fifth grade class to perform. (That production actually made the local newspaper!). I guess you can say music has always been in my blood.

Creating music professionally for a few decades has been a fantastic experience. I do what I love and love what I do and am very happy to say I'm working on what I think might be my best stuff to date.
