Hello everyone, just another quick announcement to let you know that Mark will be playing at the following benefit for the Children's Mueseum of Fredericksburg on April 26th. It's a great cause, and there will be lots of great artwork on display and for sale. The time will be announced shortly:
"Mercedes-Benz of Fredericksburg will be hosting the first ever Platform Party Virginia. We would like to invite all of our clients to participate as guests and/or participants in this exciting event.
The Platform Party will be a completely organic artistic experience made up entirely of local artists. How many times have we seen local artists solely displayed in local forums? Not often does it happen that local dancers, local performance artists, local visual artists, local musical artists, and local culinary artists can have a magical evening together sharing their craft. That is what Platform is all about.
Please take this opportunity to view local artwork with the community and invite your friends to enjoy a beer or a glass of wine while dining on local culinary talents and feasting on the visual treats that await them. Artists can sell their work, solicit lessons, or network with clients. Patrons will enjoy a completely unique artistic experience.
The party will begin at 6pm on April 26th at the Mercedes-Benz showroom of Central Virginia Eurocars located at 3400 Fall Hill Ave. Artists interested in participating should contact Joe Adams or Natalie Foote as early as possible. Tickets are available through the dealershi[p at $10 each or $6 with a Student I.D. All procedes will be used to help fund the Children’s Museum of Fredericksburg."

First and foremost, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to all our friends! As John Lennon once said, "Another year over, and a new one just begun!"
It's been a while since we've posted an update to the site, but a lot really has been going on. Mark has several gigs booked well into 2008, and a new project has begun in earnest: the writing and rehearsing of his latest album, "The Balladeer", which will hopefully be ready for release in the fall of 2008. The title track is finished, along with 4 or 5 other tracks including "Peace", "Hey Ol' Miss", "Gator Stew", and "All of Myself".
"The Balladeer" will be recorded with a full acoustic based band, featuring several good friends who Mark has had the pleasure of supporting and been supported by through the years.
We've also been very busy building a home studio in Mark's basement and hope to have it up and running within the next two weeks.
Please check back soon, as I plan to update the site with more regularity as we set our spring and summer schedule with more dates.
